Nah a beer or two a day is ok. Just don't get drunk everyday and be forced to have a beer in the morning in order to go to work. if you get to that point, you might wanna cut down just a tad.

You're drinking is because your trying to drown your sorrows. Even if you say that you've gotten over it, you haven't assessed the situation yet. Drinking to forget, or to fill the gap that's in your life is never a good thing. If you do want to drink, drink in moderation. Having a beer a week is good for you, but a beer a day leads to brain cell damage. I think that you need to deal with what ever got you drinking in the first place, but first you need to stop drinking. I don't mean forever. Your obviously a big girl and can make your own decisions, but try spending a week not drinking, if you don't cheat at all, then you'll know it's you who's in control and not the boozes. If your really fine with your alcohol then you can get out of the slump of your life and move on to bigger and better things. You've got potential and you shouldn't be wasting it trying to chug down a bottle. I hoped this helped, good luck with your life.

I am Mexican also. Lets meet up for a drink. I will buy. Seriously if u think u have a problem or someone close to u says u may have a problem i would look into it. I have three beers a day but that is because of the stress of teaching high school. Under AA I am an alcoholic but I dont drink on weekends so who knows.

# 1 ? Do You Drive Anywhere At All After Drinking? If the answer is EVER yes then you need help ASAP before you injure or kill others or yourself. Don't use your nationality as an excuse either. You drink because you want to not because you're Mexican. How do you know you can stop anytime you want to? The longer you keep drinking the harder it'll get to stop (it becomes a habit,an addiction). You are young and need to get help before it gets worse. Also, try a volunteer job where you're helping others. You'll see others coping with problems much worse then yours without alcohol. Not only will you be helping others you'll be helping yourself at the same time. A good place to start is rmhc.org If there is 1 in your area give them a call. Good Luck!!!!

yes it does make u an alcoholic, and you should really stop drinking as often as u r now, and even though u can stop drinking when u want to, u still should go to aa meetings, my dad goes to them all the time, and he hasn't taken one drink in 13 years! Stop drinking it's a really bad influence towards others. Try drinking non-alcoholic beer, it doesnt taste that different at all, it's help, because with non-alcoholic beer you can drink as many as u want, and not get drunk! Good luck!

hmmm. i recommend no more than one beer a week. it sounds like you've trained the body to crave beer when you['re thirsty or even sad. It's time to break the habit before it becomes a problem. You'll need to go through a process of retraining your body to crave a different taste when you're thirsty or sad. I had to do the same when I broke myself from sugar. I have low blood sugar. I have to be careful on what I eat and all. There's a body cleansing diet listed at a site called www.worldprayercenter.org
The diet only lasts 7 days but it totally changes your food and drink cravings. On another note, I recommend doing the week diet once a year for everybody. Work on training your cravings when you're thirsty.

I often drink 6 beers a day because I like it. But I only drink at night or when I'm with friends, I don't drink during the day. I used to worry that it was a problem, but it very rarely exceeds 6 beers unless I'm partying with friends and get a little carried away. I don't think you have a problem unless you suddenly find yourself with a beer or alcholic beverage in your hand constantly.

You are "playing with fire". If you feel you must have 1 to 6 beers a day, you are on the road to alcoholism. You say you can stop when you decide to. Now is the time! I grew up with an alcoholic family, some of whom made statements similar to yours. One died an alcoholic at the age of 63, the other finally quit at the age of 55 (after two trips to the clinic). You would be wise, very wise, to discontinue alcoholic beverages immediately. It may save you and your family a life of misery later.

Good luck

Alot of people say they can stop drinking if they wanted too. But most of them cant. Alcoholism is an adiction to alcohol. maby you should try to stop drinking for a month. And prove to yourself that you are not addicted. And try not to increase the amount that you are drinking. Alot of people start of with just a few beers a day then they start drinking more and more.

No one can tell you if your a alcoholic, if you think you got a problem try quiting for a year if that's to hard on you you may be on your way. It's not the amount you drink or when it's what it is doing to you. There is a fine line between social, heavy and alcoholic drinking. Some heavy drinkers can go on for years but they keep there jobs and look after their family's Some can only have a few drinks on the weekends and become alcoholic. So it's up to you.Good luck.
