I can't verify this, but I think Axl is nothing without his singing voice. When was the last time anyone heard him sing anything, anywhere. I'd put money on the fact that his voice might be shot.

Love him or hate him Axl Rose will always be remembered for
not only his voice but his ability to write great tunes and that would have happend whether he had slash or garth brooks on guitar.
