Sorry but I do not agree with any of the above.

Your software needs a high end processor to do animation. The Dell E1505 comes close with best bang for your buck over Toshiba but dont be fooled by the processor. It is slow even as a coreduo.

I'd suggest that if you can wait, look for a "Conroe" based laptop. I think the laptop's version is called "Menroe" or something. It will be called Core2Duo. This is easily the fastest laptop you can get over any current AMD chip or any CoreDuo laptop.

The Dell E1505 is a great laptop. You can get a intel core duo processor (2 processors) that each run at 1.86 ghz, 120 GB hard drive and 1 or 2GB of RAM depending on how you set it up. I have one and love it. Its fairly cheap too. You can get it for under a 1000 dollars or if you jack it up with the top stuff it will run you about 1500 but its still a great buy.

Yes, definitely the Apple MacBook. It's perfect for graphic design. It features the Intel Core Duo processor, which basically beats nearly any AMD on the market. I have the Core Duo and it rocks. Extremely fast. And don't worry about Windows compatibility because all Intel Macs can dual boot with Windows, although it doesn't matter because you'll probably want to spend more time using Mac OS X.

consider buying an apple MacBook. I recently bought a black MacBook and wow, its just sooo fantastic!

then if you dont like it so much (you'll love it, believe me) you can always sell it on ebay or something like that

good luck
