This is common and very normal. Your eggs are passing through your fallopian tubes as it is the middle of your cycle. This process is formally known as "Mittelschmerz" - middle of the month, or ovulation.

As one poster above can attest to, it usually occurs on one side of the lower abdomen. It's nothing to worry about unless your pain is severe or you are spotting blood as well.

Yes you can. You can have other period symptoms too. About 9 years ago I had this really bad cramp and I didn't know what it was. My mom thought I was my appendix, but when I went to the doctors they told me that some women get period symptoms when they ovulate and it was accually about two weeks since my last period. Since then I dont get it every month, but quite often I do get cramping when I ovulate.

i had terrible cramping that sent me to the emergency room,i was in such pain i thought something was really wrong with me,i had to be carried,i could not stand straight.i was given an ultrasound to only find out that i was in so much pain because i was ovulating..i was never as severe later on,but i did have mild cramping everytime i ovulated,thats how i planned my pregnancy....lol...

When I ovulate I get a sharp pain in my side.

i do.. its a condition called mittelschmerz. I was "diagnosed" with it when i was about 11 or 12...right after I started having normal periods.

I get anxious and I want to eat the whole fridge, sometimes I have some pain, and sometimes I get all puffy, just as in my period.

Sometimes. It's called middleschmurtz or something, but it's a real condition.

I do, and am also able to tell which ovary the egg is coming from.
