I opened it up, and see that power is going to the motherboard, but the fans aren't on, and the power button is not working. Does anyone know what could possibly be wrong?

Any blinking lights or beeping? Those could be codes to tell you what is wrong with your motherboard. It's possible that your PC's power supply has gone bad. They are easy to replace. I'm not talking about the power cord, but the box that sits inside the tower that the cord plugs in to.

GIVE YOUR COMPUTER A BREAK!!! MAKE SURE EVERYTHING IS PLUGGED IN. USUALLY IT'S NOT PLUGGED IN CORRECTLY. IF IT DOESN'T WORK, GO TO A GENUINE COMPUTER STORE (DON'T GO TO THOSE LITTLE COMPUTER STORES BECAUSE SOME OF THEM AREN'T ACTUAL LICENSED TO WORK ON COMPUTERS) WHERE PEOPLE NORMALLY GET THEIR COMPUTERS AND ASK THEM 2 CHECK UR COMPUTER TO SEE IF SOMETHING IS WRONG.
