I'd say take it slow because if he's been hurt it may take a while for things to open-up his eyes and realize that you are not playing games. And talk to him about this when he is not drunk.

When you said burnt, I thought you meant physically. I still don't get the use of the word burnt, but hey!
Being drunk and telling the "truth" is a common misconception. If anything, it's more likely you'll say stuff you DON'T mean.
Don't take it too seriously. Marry him if your heart tells you so.

Not when he's drunk. You need to talk to him when he's sober, because people say crazy things when they're drunk. It might be truthful, because of the fact drunk people don't lie too often.. but whether his head AND heart are in, you need to still talk to him.

Be patient, and yes talk to him when hes sober but if you really love him you will wait for him as long as you're still with him, and if he really loves you, he will propose all in good time.. he's probably scared that you'll screw up so prove him wrong and don't

Well, sometimes the truth does come out but sometimes it doesn't if you want to marry him then ask him when he is sober.

You mean, he's not sure whether or not he wants to be with you long-term; well, you can't make him do anything, talk to him honestly about marriage - if it is not his goal, but is important to you, perhaps it's time to re-think this relationship.

ask him when he's sober, and if he has a different answer, and you can tell he's not lying(if you want to marry him, you should be able to tell if he's lying by now), then ask him or whatever you want to happen! I'd say go for it!

MEN HAVE A HARDER TIME EXPRESSING THEMSELVES THAN WOMEN!! GIVE HIM TIME TO COME AROUND AND DON'T PRESSURE HIM! IF YOU DON'T SEE ANY CHANGES IN HIS ACTIONS OR FEELINGS TOWARD U, REEVALUATE YOUR RELATIONSHIP! WEIGH YOUR OPTIONS AND ASK YOURSELF IS IT WORTH IT!!! ALWAYS REMEMBER LOVE IS PATIENT AND TRY TO TALK WITH HIM ABOUT HIS FEELINGS AND THOUGHTS ABOUT MARRIAGE, BUT DON'T FORCE HIM TO TALK ABOUT IT AND TRY TO BE UNDERSTANDING. THE HARDEST PART IS TRYING TO KEEP YOURSELF FROM GETTING UPSET BECAUSE HE DOESN'T GIVE YOU THE RESPONSES YOU WANT, BUT YOU HAVE TO GIVE HIM TIME TO DEVELOP THOSE FEELINGS FOR YOU!!! BESIDES, DON'T YOU WANT HIM TO MARRY YOU BECAUSE HE LOVES YOU AND NOT BECAUSE YOU WANT HIM TO? HE HAS BEEN BURNT TWICE SO IT MAY TAKE LONGER THAN USUAL FOR HIM TO COME AROUND, BUT LOVE CONQUERS ALL!!!
