my ipv4 is very short, the othere one is about 3 times longer.

IPv4 was the initial design for the Internet and when it was designed it was believed that it would scale without issue; however, due to the expanse of the Internet IPv4 is basically toast and private IP addresses are all used up, IPv6 will ultimately replace IPv4 allowing for an exponentially greater amount of private IP addresses, and greater routing efficiency, geographically speaking.

Size of addressing possibilities. There were so many devices on Internet IPv4 can handle (not those behind gateway walls) but IPv6 can address more at the same time.
