I have a quick question for anyone that can answer me in "non-doctor" terms :)

I took my first cycle of Clomid this past month from Cycle Day 5 - 9. My fertility monitor showed that I ovulated sometime between Day 11 and Day 12 - fertilityfriend.com also said the same thing. We BDed like crazy this month! I had my blood taken on Day 3, 7 and 22 (day 21 was a Sunday). I got my results in from my bloodwork on Day 22 and my progesterone level was 29.1. My first question is what does that mean? I'm not sure what "normal" levels are and if that means that I could be pregnant.

Also, the nurse said to test when I was one day late with AF. Well, the reason that I went on Clomid was because I was VERY irregular (my last AF before the one on August 7th was June 18th), so how do I know when I am one day late?? What day would you all recommend testing on?

Thank you to anyone that can explain all this to me. It is all so confusing ;)

The progesterone test is to see if you ovulated--anything over 15 on a medicated cycle means you ovulated. Typically the test is done 7 days past ovulation and not on day 21 anymore--many doctors have found this method unreliable. Your period should come about 14 days after the day you ovulated. If you ovulated on day 12 then you should expect your period on about day 26.

I'll be interested to read your answers as well. It sounds like we have the exact cycles. My Dr. is waiting for me to take clomid; however, my hubby is starting to travel for the next few months and the odds of him being home on the rights days is low. We are still trying in the meantime. I had a miscarriage in early June when i was around 6 weeks along. All I can tell you is that when my Dr. confirmed my pregnancy, he noticed my progesterone level was only at 12 (they like to see it closer to 18-20 atleast) so i had to go on Prometrium to help raise it. I'm unsure though on if the higher the progesterone number means you're pregnant. I would think it would, if he wanted mine higher. I have no idea how you'd know if you are one day late...i never know either. If I were you, i'd almost consider yourself late closer to October. My last period was July 28 and my OB said not to consider it missed until Sept 15th or so. I hope it doesn't come!

My Dr. told me last night that if you are irregular, forget about your period coming 14 days after ovulation.

in case you really were six weeks, then your hCG element is really low, yet your progesterone seems fantastic. The commonly used practitioner is in all danger ideal - you at the on the spot are not surely six weeks alongside. i'd attempt to now not worry too a lot (even with the glaring undeniable truth that i understand it really is way less complicated stated than executed). even as i grew to develop into 4 a million/2 weeks, I had my first blood attempt executed and my hCG grew to develop into 12,130 5 (commonly used practitioner concept it might favor to be twins) yet my progesterone grew to develop into really low - in problem-loose words round 16.3. i grew to develop into placed on 2 hundred mg progesterone suppositories for the first trimester. i'm at latest 22 weeks 6 days pregnant with my son (sure, in problem-loose words one infant!) and topics are progressing precise. it is difficult to declare purely from numbers no matter if a being pregnant is means. i'd imagine of that your commonly used practitioner would agenda yet another ultrasound in some weeks to substantiate if something will be shown then.
