interior the "good outdated days" while the Royal Mail amounted to a minimum of a few thing in case you place 2 x 2d classification stamps on that have been greater beneficial than the value of a 1st classification they could deliver it as firstclass. Now lots of the sorting is achieved by making use of gadget and not people the mail is appeared after by making use of the colour of the stamps caught on it. so for you to positioned 10 on it and it will pass 2d classification positioned up. that's of course they don't lose it interior the 1st place as they're reputed to lose a million bits of positioned up an afternoon.

I would think that they go by the weight of the letter unless it's priority then cost more, wouldn't think the distance has anything to do with the cost of the stamp.

depends how big your letter is, and how much your stamps are, to be safe I would, or else stop off at a post office and ask someone that knows for sure!
Think you just need one US stamp for a regular letter
