Example: look at almost any question asked on here and the thumbs up/down option. How have most people lived this long with this mind set? Seems like a drab existance to me.

That's very true, JD. Too many people, especially religious zealots deal in only right or wrong, black or white. There's a lot of gray out there too.
Nothing is cut and dried.
Some people wouldn't know a positive thought if it french kissed them. It's just safer to deal in negatives. They are never let down that way. As you say....how drab. Expect nothing good or fun and that's probably what you'll get.
Pity.

Yes I have. I am surprised at some questions that got lots of thumbs up. It is very interesting how people would vote some answers thumbs up and thumbs down. I prefer if Yahoo! took out the voting question thing. It's annoying and no question is a bad question (well you know there are some but you know). I think only the answers should have them to help the asker decide on the best answer.

yes, i think some people just answer, and then give all the other answers a thumbs down, to make theirs look better. it's noticeable, if you're looking for it, though...
by the way, renee, i gave you a thumbs up, because you said you always got the thumbs down...people are just jealous of you...i like your answers!
