I am alergic to metal and and i play the flute right now it is causing the under part of my lip to start gettin a small rash and making it burn sometimes. how do i fix this. can someone please help me.

I use to play the flute when I was a kid and the same thing happened to me. I use to put extra vaseline or chapstick on my bottom lip before practice and performances. It worked for me.

Get a wooden flute. =D or they should sell some extra stuff in an instrument store. like the blowing part of the flute can be exchanged to a wooden i gues..

Chances are you're allergic to nickel -- it's a common allergy, and, unfortunately, nickel is used to brighten a lot of metal alloys. Maybe you could get just the mouthpiece of your flute replaced, or even have the existing one re-plated with silver (which is non-allergenic). It shouldn't be too expensive.

well first talk to your doctor about how to get that off then ask your parents to look for a flute made out of a different material not all flutes are made out of metal

i would suggest going to a health food store and looking at homoepathic pills (they have thousands of stuff to cure different things and 1 thing to remember with that stuff is that if it doesnt help within 20 min. its probably not going to do anything) anyway i stand behind that stuff because it cured me of rashes from difernnt kinds of mold or you could buy (health food store) burrdock pills these help tremendously
