Coyotes CAN mate with dogs. Hybrids are common in this area. Get them spayed. Happens all the time. Coyotes are pack animals and they COULD indeed hurt your dog.
And finally, coyotes being wild animals, are not immunized against diseases and could infect your dogs if they are not properly vaccinated.

Coyotes might mate if your dog if it was in heat. Coydogs are even more dangerous than coyotes. Even though they are small, they are very fast and know how to kill to survive. They commonly kill domestic cats and dogs. Some dogs are savy and tough enough to be immune to their attacks but I would be concerned if I were you.
