Who here is smart enough to realize the difference between what the President of Iran says and how it is translated? Are you smart enough to realize that when he says Israel does not have the right to exist as a nation he does not mean to slaughter all the Jews? Are you smart enough realize that the Zionist regime in Israel does more harm to us than good? Are you smart enough to realize that a ******* religion does not equal a country?

I dont quote anyone, I read alot and make my opinions about anyone. I believe In Jesus, Im religous and I believe the way to heaven is to accept Christ as your saviour, and given the chance I would run for President in a second flat, if i were old enough or connected enough.

Do you realize it is a dangerous thing in this forum to think as you do. Independently, informed, clarity of expression. Some of us suffer greatly for attempting that.

To answer your question, Yes some of us are smart enough to know there is no such thing as a literal translation fronkm my tongue to another. Expression, Intent and annotation is lost.

I commend you for having the b*lls to come on here and say what you have just done.

The land of "Israel" should be split in half. The northern half would be Palestine and the southern half Israel.

In the middle occupying Jerusalem would be the new U.N. HQ with a corridor that divides these lands from the Mediterranean to the Red Sea. Stationed there should be 200,000 man Rapid Reaction Force capable of delivering a serious smack down to ANYONE in the region that acts out of line.

I also wonder how many realize the government of Iran... a president is about as powerful as the queen of England in England... a big cheerleader...

a group of religious leaders actually make the decisions... all the president can do is smile and agree...

he's basically the tony snow of Iran

I'm smart enough to realize that this diminutive, banjo eyed, sh it disturber is very close to having someone with more muscle and less patience, go into Iran and start kicking some persian butt.

I can care less about his double speak, or his penchant for answering questions with questions. He helps infidels, like myself, realize how easy it is to despise the people of the middle east. It makes us realize what a burden the Israeli's have in dealing with the likes of arabs and persians who still live in a vacuum that began 1000 years, or more, ago.

Like many people I talk to, we are realizing that Islam is the problem, not the Jews. Islam teaches hate and destruction. It encourages murder and vengeance. Why, it even encourages wife beating and female circumcision. How evil can this sect be, before people begin realizing, there's something wrong with what we are being taught!

lol, and are you smart enough to realize that when the president of iran as well as the former president of iran and the ayatollah all call for wiping Israel off the map hes in effect calling for their deaths? or do you think they got plans to just let all the jews immigrate into their society?

You are correct - he only means the slaughter of the five million plus Jews living in Israel. However, saying that Zionism is a calling of a people in it does identify a country. Saying Zionism has been a harm to the United States mean that the person making that claim is just another fascist engaged in Jew-baiting. Goebbels would be proud of you.

You at least got one thing right, a religion does not equal a country. The stuff about the President of Iran means you are either a blind disciple, really "blonde".

In other words, are we smart enough to agree with you.... or whoever you're quoting.

The most accurate translations I've seen of Ahmadinejad's statement are "to remove the nation of Israel from the pages of history" or "to eliminate Israel from the record of existence".

No, he didn't say kill all the Jews. He just wanted to destroy the country of Israel and remove all record that it had existed.

You also apparently haven't looked up the definition of Zionism, because you're over a half-century out of date in your usage.

I would rebut that apparently in some places a religion DOES equal a country because IRAN is a theocracy.

Amazingly no Iran/Americans are standing up and calling the press liars. I would expect to see that on the web at least. Just silence. Guess I'm a big dummy.
