I am currently 38 wks pregnant and I will be 39 wks on fri. I lost my mucus plug last night (yuck) and woke up with excruciating back pain this morning. It was on and off but very irregular but now its constant and to add insult to injury I just threw up everything I ate today and feel like I may have another go at it. I don't feel like I can take it anymore, but I dont wanna go to labor and delivery for them to send me home. Should I go anyway or tough it out?(i dont know if i can tough it w/o going crazy.

YEP.....sounds like the wonderful world of back labor! Go to labor and delivery....just to check.....better safe than having your baby on the new oriental rug in the den!

If you don't feel you can tough it out, go. If you feel that you might need to go, just go. Better to be safe than sorry. I had that once, and they diagnosed me with a UTI (urinary tract infection). Not necessarily at all what is wrong with you, but UTI's can complicate things and they are easy to fix. even if it is not a uti, it could still be something else serious. I always played it safe. they are used to hypochondriacal women, so you don't need to be embarrassed if it turns out to be nothing serious.

Go to the E.R. With symptoms like yours, they'll probably keep you there or induce you. If they send you home, at least you'll have peace of mind that they know about it. Good luck!

Go to the ER ,, thats the only way youll know for sure,,, and dont get discouraged if they do send you home,, trust me ,ive been there, ive been having contractions for three weeks and still no baby ,, ive had my share of er visits,, just please go and make sure you and your lil one are ok,, theres a reason to your pain and sickness,, and i am sure they will take very good care of you at er...God Bless

Yes i would go if the pain is that bad. it may not be false labor.If the contractions are 5 mins or less apart then get in your car and go.

between your shoulder-blades. Have the branches unfold out over your shoulder blades and cut back the basis unfold. which will look lots cooler than the time-honored scale back back tattoo that each and every wanna-be hip chick has!! (Tramp Stamp - i admire that!! Too humorous!)
