In fact, you could be performing a very welcome service. If you have a nice voice that is not heavily accented, you could read books aloud for a company that makes audio books. Audio books are sold to the blind and to those with long commutes.

You could also be a book editor or proofreader. Just keep in mind that there is more to being an editor than just reading books.

No. Proofreading is a necessary and rewarding profession. And you can do it part-time. Contact publishing houses for qualifications.
