Iran’s President Challenges Bush to a Televised Debate

Interesting idea. I would rather see both men in a televised debate than to have them continue rattling their sabers at each other. The present course of action is getting both sides nowhere. That President Ahmadinejad wants to discuss his nuclear program with our president is a good thing. What could it hurt? It might be a first step in defusing the situation that threatens to widen the conflict in the Middle East. This is the danger in having a president who only sees things in black and white.

I am not sure whether President Bush would have a clue who President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad is! I could not trust Bush to have the intelligence, knowledge nor sympathy to express the way the majority of the West feel about the terrible situation that is being provoked in the Middle East.
I would love to see it, but alas I feel as if I would be hiding my face behind my hands cringeing. It would almost be like watching an episode of the BBC's comedy 'The Office'.

You know I don't think the guy is as crazy as he has been made to appear. He picked Colin Powell after all. Just kidding I'm talking about Ahmedinejad or whatever.
He wrote a 18 page letter to the President, who didn't even have the courtesy to respond. No matter what he thinks of the guy, he still represents a large country, that is of strategic importance.
It would be nice to try and see if we could get the Iranians into the "fold" so to speak.
I'm sure they would be willing to enter the world community after all these years.
Oh well, what do I know?

Bush would have no chance. Elmer Fudd could beat Bush in a debate.

I would pay to see that. That would be a very interesting debate.Especially if it was live, our media could not falsely translate the President of Irans words.

it would get more viewers than the super bowl. it would be the most awesome thing on TV thus far. Unedited live debate between that bumbling bafoon and Amadinijad??? that would be great!

yes
to make it better only give them two days to prepare, and let the studio audience ask the questions. I would watch that for $40 on pay-per-view.

Oh yeah. That would be fun. Make them take their coats and shirts off, though. No secret wired intercoms...Or just have them frisked by Katie Couric first.

that would be ironic, he wants to openly debate, but yet his people in Iran have no say so and can only watch government t.v.
