You have to leave the account inactive for 6 months. That is all there is to it.
Now if what you are talking about is one of those Yahoo! Groups that loves to spam your inbox...lol..then you need to send an email back to the administrator of the group requesting to be removed from their list. Simply reply to any of the spam with that request. It should be granted within about a week.
Also, you can configure your yahoo group to not email you. I am a member of several freecycle groups and I turned off all notification from them so I wouldn't be spammed. So check out your group settings if you want to stay in the group but are just tired of spam.

I think you have to not sign on to your account for 3 months and yahoo will actually will automatically delete your account.

If youre talking about a yahoo club just go to their start page of club.. there is an unsubscribe link there ..

I think you just quit using it, if your account, email, etc. in inactive long enough, Yahoo will close it.

Just don't come back to yahoo.Go to hotmail and subscribe!I did it b-4.When you come back to yahoo, just create a whole other email address!!
