I was reading where a man broke into another man's house and stabbed him to death. It was later explained that he did this because it was found that the victim was sexually molesting his only child. The stabber is now in jail.

I know that people are not supposed to take the law into their own hands and this is because - where would it end?? Which makes sense - but in this situation I can see him doing this if he knew that the child was in immediate danger and couldn't defend themselves you know??/

Have you heard of the people who rob peoples' houses and hurt themselves during the robbery and actually have sued the home owner and WON??

These kinds of things are crazy. So - in this case, the stabber should have called the authorites to help.

We should obey the law of the land unless it counter acts with the laws of God.
I myself was molested as a young child several times by my own dad,he only served 3Mts in prison. It still makes me mad.But to kill him would have not been punishment enough for him.He should have been castrated, made to wear a t-shirt the rest of his life that says -----I am a known child molester.Found guilty by the state of (bla bla).Im a ferm beleiver in forgivness but also in consiquences to our actions(sins). If more people had to face real consequences there be less crimes comited but becouse of those who say (we have our rights too)(its not that bad)(live and let live)(its a free world)(thats your opinion)so on and so on.
If some one broke into my home and molested my child the first thing id want to do is kill em,thats a natural human instinct and any perpatrator who is surprised at this or feels this is unjust,is a person who needs to be taught the reality of it.I know i may sound contadictory in my statments, but its like this.If a person murders someone becouse of such a thing done to one of their own,it is completly understandable, but its still muerder and should be some kind of consiquence.Murder is murder.

You really have to go with your conscious on that one and figure out if you're Seriously willing to pay the price for what is essentially illegal. Like that Lieutenant who is refusing to serve in Iraq saying he rather serve in Afghanistan but they said no, so now he's in a court martial, it goes against what he believes.

Real men do what they have even if they need to die for it. If a guy hurt my sister my mom or my children then I would let the court decide how to handle it. If they take too long though to get the evidence so that the perpertrator is able to hurt them again or if he goes to court and doesn't get committed, then yes, he should be sleeping with a shotgun in his bed at all times because I'll let him know I'll come for him and in all essence of the word, he's a dead man. After which if I get shot by cops or I go to jail, I did my duty to my family as the oldest male.

Sometimes even if things aren't exactly legal, they still need to be done, it's just if you're willing to pay the price.

Edited to add, Wolverine, I'm a liberal these days. You should just people by labels.

I think the guy did the community a favor. The pervert would have served just a little time, then been released to the community to molest again.

I know some sick people out there will cry rivers for the molester, and say his "rights" were violated, but I think the rights of the innocent are more important.

What law did the stabber obey?
If the legal system let the abuser go, I could better understand the stabbing.
Imagine if this were the normal way to deal with problem people. You could always move to Iraq, sounds like how they conduct business.

That is not only breaking the law, that is attempting to BE the law. Civil disobedience is a wonderful way to reveal grave injustices. This man is not trying to illuminate the molester's faults, he is becoming a vigilante. And, unless you drive a cool car and wear pointy ears, being a vigilante is not cool.
But yes, I do think tha breaking the law is sometimes necessary. It's the way in which it is done that is important.

Your example is not okay. The time to break the law is to save someone else like pull infront of a car to prevent it from hitting a crosswalk full of old ladies and kids......or maybe speeding to a fire station to report a fire. As emotional as the man in your example may have been and the rage he was feeling,,,he was wrong to take the action he did. He has no right legally or morally to take the law into his own hands and act as judge and jury.

In that case, YES. Child molesters don't deserve any special treatment. I saw a show on t.v. where a man shot a guy that kidnapped his child. I don't blame him one bit! He won't do it again will he? I know my answer is wrong because the liberals will say he deserves a fair trial. He'd get a trial with me if it was my child~ yeah, he'd really get a trial.

Yes, and there are times when it is Not wrong to disobey the law. Sometimes the law is wrong. The Underground Railroad was against the law...was it wrong? NO! The Animal Liberation Front frees animals that are used in brutal test and destroys equipment that is used to cause harm. Is this wrong? NO!

I would think if you were to ignore a jaywalking sign in order to pull a child from in front of a car, disobeying the law would be ok. However, anything really serious like murder is not ok.
