Say you have one truck, there will have to be 243 boxes in it.
If you get one MORE truck, there will be ANOTHER 243 boxes - so there will be 243*2 = 486 boxes OR 243 + 243 = 486 boxes
If you get a THIRD truck, there will be ANOTHER 243 boxes - so there will be 243*3 = 729 boxes OR 243 + 243 + 243 = 729 boxes
Hopefully you'll see the patterns =)

First way:
243*19 = 4617
Second way
3^5*19 = 4617 (243 = 3 power 5)

draw out 19 squares representing trucks, put the number 243 inside each square, and add up all the numbers (243+243+243+243+243+243+243+243+243+243+243+243+243+243+243+243+243+243+243)
or a much much simpler way would be 243 x 19, your computer should have a calculator

multiply 19 by 243 which is 4617 I'm not sure what the second strategy would be.
[EDIT] k, I guess adding 243 to itself 19 times would be the second strategy but its a really retarded strategy no offense.
LMAO at the semi = half guy that wants you to divide by 2

(a) 243 x 19 = 4617
(b) 243 x 10 x 2 = 4860, 4860 - 243 = 4617
(c) (243 x 10) + (243 x 9) = 2430 + 2187 = 4617

First way : 243*19 = 4617 boxes but 19 are semi trailers so 4617 / 2 = 2309.
Or
19/2 =9.5 trailers approx. 10
243*9.5 = 2309 which gives you same answer.
