I am out of highschool and now moving on with my life to a different world but why do I feel that I missed my teachers so much I promise to visit them but I cry too thinking about the good times we had together will e-mail do any better or should I give them a call once in a while?
The summer is almost over so if I call when will be the best time to surprise them like maybe on their birthday?

thats just how it is when you get out of high school. you miss everyone including sometimes your teachers. you really start to see how much everyone has done for you! it sucks, but its just another part in life that you can add to your records. things like this could also give you signs to live life to the fullest b/c u dont know when it might happen again. feel free to call or even email your teachers here and there just to keep tabs if thats what makes you feel a bit better! definitely keep in touch with your friends!! so you have more memories to add on to. whatever you decide to do, good luck and go for it. you live life once

how normal are you? let me count the ways....

Shirley, congratulations on finishing High School. It's a big deal, that happens at a time in your life when you're succeptable to intense emotion. Bad combination for depression.

But it's all good. I promise you, your teachers want you to fly off into your life and rock, girl! Make some plans, and take no prisoners! Go use that love you got from them to do something amazing. Then when you have your 5-year reunion, come back and tell 'em all how it's going.

Best of luck!

Is your move a 'once in a lifetime opportunity'?

I think it's natural to feel some discomfort with moving to a new area 'at any time' in life. I think it would be worse if you waited until you were old like me. (Speaking for myself at my ripe old age of 46)

You will get more comfortable with moving as time goes by, and you will gain an experience that someone like me may only dream of.

Your friends are only an e-mail away (anytime is a great time to keep in touch).

And we are only a question away. ;(*_*);

Or you could share your changes and adjustments (like new hairdoos or styles of clothing) ;-) with digital cameras (You can keep taking pictures until it's picture perfect with no cost of film developing and send it as an atachment in an e-mail or on some cell phones. You can even send those same pictures to 10 different people at once from your cell phone.

Technology keeps us closer to people than ever before.
Don't ya love it?

And honey, I'm sure you're loved ones are going to want to keep you in their pockets... so send em a text/picture message so they get their way. Don't deprive them of what they've worked so hard for...which is your happiness in their lives.

I would keep a phone on me at all times if I moved away from my hometown (even temporarily) just to have available for unforseen emergencies. A lot of your adventure will be unforseen.

Soon you'll be teaching others the ways to adjust.

I moved 10 miles away from where I was born about 20 years ago, and it seemed like I was 200 miles away. I was depressed for a while and it wasn't even long distance. But it subsided as I adjusted. I did move across two states before too, and I had hoped it would be permanent, but nope. Long story.....

I think you will adjust quite nicely in the decision you've made. I really do.

I will look forward to seeing more questions from you here too, by the way. ;(*_*);
I'm very excited for you!
And may God bless you.

I don't know.. I've never called a teacher at home! I would stick to emails or letters.

Also, I'm concerned that you're not expressing sadness over missing your friends. Instead your sad over missing your teachers? Seems strange that you didn't mention friends.

Life after high school is great.. You will meet new friends. Life will go on. You'll be fine.

its alway a great idea if you are able to stay in touch with a teacher - in addition to becoming a freind they may be a valuable resource for you in teh futuer.

once a month plus minus is great.

(especially the older ones - the y appreciate the contact)
