1. About the video problem, you don't need to format your PC for it, just download the latest driver and install it.
2. about the files you need to copy, right click on the folder that contains the files, click sharing and security, then click on enable sharing,
then go to control panel, user accounts, enable the guest account.
and on the second computer, go to my network places, click (view my workgroup computers) select the computer that has the pictures, open it, you will see the folder that has the files, copy them!

sorry to step aside from the networking stuff but dude did the card work before? and did you delete anything? if your first answer was yes and your second answer was no then we might be in buisness. go to MY COMPUTER then click on the sidebar where it says "change a setting". now go to "performance and maintanence" and click on SYSTEM icon in the bottom right corner. now click on the hardware tab and click on device manager. second from the top should be "display adapters".
clcik on the little plus sign and click on update driver and put in your XP cd. if that dont work do the same thing but click on uninstall, restart your computer and when it looks for drivers just put in your XP cd or if your comp came with a system cd use that
might work but for sure try to back up your stuff first just in case it dont work and you have to reinstall the operating system

You need to run the small or home office network setup wizard. Then advanced connections, and you need a network whitout internet connection. Then fill the edit boxes, and turn on the file and printer sharing. Then you need one more thing to turn on : the internet protocoll. You can do this by double-clicking the local area connecton icon, and clicking the proprieties button. There you need to add the internet protocoll. And that's all!!!

Click START, then SETTINGS, then NETWORK CONNECTIONS, then run the NETWORK SETUP wizard.
However, it would be far easier to just go to the website of your video card manufacturer and download and install the latest video driver.

Now that's no simple feat. You have to be what they call, "Computer Savvy" to be doing that kind of stuff. You best be locating at Computer Tech to be doing this stuff. I don't think you could even learn how by watching. Just let him or her do it and you sit back and say "Thank You" and pay them.
