while driving my elderly Aunt to the doctors office.. she died in my car

I didn't get out of work, but I was very late (2 hours).
My excuse, strange as it is, is true. I DID NOT MAKE THIS UP.
My cat turned off my alarm clock, so I overslept.
He somehow learned that, if he stepped on a button on the clock just so, it would stop making the noise he didn't like --- and he and his person could stay in the bed and be comfy, cozy and warm.

That my car broke down, only it didn't work because about 15 minutes later my boss came by to give me a ride. Darn it I hate nice people sometimes

A friend of mine called into work to play a joke on his boss and said he could not work because he cut his arm on a spoon.....two hours later his boss called him back and cussed him out...he now is working for a different company...lol

I've told my boss that I had imgoinonvacationitis and I needed a day off before my vacation started. Looking back, I realize how cool my boss was because she let me take it off.

I've never made up an excuse...unless I'm sick or have some other kind of emergency, I go to work.
