Well, I guess when people spend their lives thinking unanswerable questions to death, They tend to get a little, er, eccentric. My dad had a physics prof whose idea of a good lesson in fluid dynamics was to throw his students' graded exams out of a 6th storey window at the beginning of class, and watch where they landed and the paths the papers took to their resting places... Then have the students go get their papers at the end of class, after every one had walked all over them. This guy was a primary researcher on the Manhattan Project during WWII. My dad is under the impression that he spent too much time in the uranium lab and not enough time sleeping...

How can you say that? My first one was mistaken for a janitor by his classes and for a bum by the security people. Isn't it normal to wear wrinkled and discolored shirts and pants and pants with the knees torn out? I went to a conference in another state with him, and everyone thought I was the professor for some reason. I cannot understand why. Isn't it normal for girls to nearly vomit when he pulls out his handkerchief? I won't mention some habits that shocked even me. Yes, he seemed like a perfectly normal fellow, don't you think?
