Boyfriend desperately wants to see his daughter on his weekends. Ex wife & her husband switch weekends constantly, send nasty emails, threaten, etc. B/F has begun following Decree to a tee - even sending certified letters re: when he's coming to get her, rather than mess with the ugliness of email that transpires. Court gave him a # to call if he was denied visitation, saying they would work just as hard for his visitation as they did her child support. When he called last weekend, they said he needs to hire an atty! Where is the justice? He just wants to see his daughter & he pays c/s timely! The system really does not work for parents who are doing the right thing, but have unruly exes to deal with. Any advice?

Keep doing what the court has described. It takes a long time. You wont get what you want when you want it. And there is no getting back the lost time. But in these instances following the rules to a T does save you in the long run. I know the pain is now and all the reasons and love are to be shared now with the child. The problem is in the Screwed up exes. They might always make probs. so dont be surprised.

Sometimes the law has a hard time keeping all parties happy and this crap happens from time to time. Contact an atty and see if , in your state, you can file your c/s with the court to force her to abide by the decree or what else can be done, especially if your c/s is current.

Welcome to the world of the fathers getting screwed over by the legal system. I'm in a similar situation (although we do get to see my step son regularly) and it sucks how terrible the legal system is. It's all about the mother in most cases.......and not fair to the father......

Do as they said and hire an attorney....print out all the nasty emails...if she leaves nasty voice mail messages, save them too so you can access them in court. Who knows, maybe he could get custody of his daughter. My answering machine is literally full of nasty messages from my husband's ex....but we have to keep them for court one day. Good luck!

Man get them all into counselling and work it all out. It's a power game and the kids are the ones I feel sorry for not the adults.

i know how he feels, but the only thing you can do is go back to court and get joint custody then and only then can they actually do something like enforce the court order for visitations,
this applies in Ontario Canada

have him get a lawyer and file contempt charges against his ex for interfering with visitation rights, most states now have laws against interfering with visitations
