Spray it real good with hairspray, and let it sit for only a minute, then blot it really hard with a slightly damp unimportant towel! This should work, cause it works on clothes!

Spray hair spray on the ink. Wait a few minutes and the ink should come to the top and look liquid. Pat with a paper towel. If that doesn't work, try one of the Magic Sponges.

I have removed ink and permanent marker off of my couch with goof off. It is a little expensive, but works on everything including wood. You can find it at Home Depot.

De-natured alcohol (about $4.00), or fingernail polish remover on a cotton ball. Also the "dry erase" spray placed on the marks then very quickly wiped using a baby wipe or paper towel soaked in soapy water. If the markings are on a part of the sofa that has a zip off cover then heavily treat the mark then wash it.
