Quandong is the name given to three kinds of Australian wild bush plants or tree, of which two belong to the sandalwood genus (Santalum).
• Desert quandong (Santalum acuminatum). Other names: Sweet quandong, Native peach, Sandalwood, Katunga, Burn-burn, Mangata. It grows in the arid zones of Australia. It is one of the few Australian native plants to be exploited for its food value.
• Bitter quandong (Santalum murrayanum). Other names: Ming. It grows in mallee and woodlands,
• Blue quandong (Elaeocarpus angustifolius, syn. E. grandis). Other names: Silver Quandong, Brush Quandong, Blue fig, Coolan. It grows mainly beside streams and in dense coastal and mountainous rainforests.

The plants tolerates a wide variety of climates and soils, but Quandongs are partial parasites. They feed themselves not only from their own roots. In order to gain all the nutrients they need they grow sucker-like attachments onto the roots of other plants and simply take what they can get. The name quandong is also given to the fruit of the Quandong trees.
