I was divorcing my first husband and making a career change at the same time. I had an infant and a three year old and an ex-husband who was no help. I went back to college during this time and had no job. I maintained a 3.8 GPA, borrowed money on student loans, and barely scraped by. I then studied for the CPA exam and passed it on the first try. This happened over a period of about 2 1/2 years. I was broke but happy. I am still amazed at how little money it really takes to get by. The experience gave me so much confidence in myself and I don't worry about money....I know that no matter what happens things will be okay because I have been there.

A personal challenge that I had to overcome was when my dad got cancer and passed. He was very young and it happened at a time in my life when I was best friends with my parents. (We had constantly argued when I was younger) It's taking a long time to overcome it but I think I have by knowing that at least I had time to make up with my Dad before he died. And at least he's in a better place....
