Yeah, it was rude. All you do is finish up whatever was going on without looking suspicious. Then after the date thank her for coming (shake her hand) and say i hope you find the person you are looking for. Hearing these words she will know you don't dig her. And your job is complete. All truth she should not have lied about her weight. If you can keep your countenance straight the whole date you are a good man. Make sure you don't make any wrong body signals as well. Don't over do anything like pulling out chairs or opening car doors. Or brush against her in anyway(leave space). She probably thought you were rude because she was expecting a serious dinner and you disappeared spoiling her plans of feasting. But she definitely got the idea when you disappeared and her feelings was definitely hurt.

No, you did the right thing. If you'd had too many beers you might have taken her home. And then what would your wife and girlfriend say? They would never let you live it down. My husband told me about the time he went hogging. He's no small fry at 6'2" and 225, but he told me that it was the only time he ever got into bed and rolled toward the other person.
