It annoy's me when ppl ask me if i am working, I have reared 4 children, minding 2 grandchildren being a house technician for the last 36 yrs, and what they should be asking is do I work outside the home?

if anyone asks me i say YES i sure do I'm a full time MUM i think its the hardest job in the world its a 24 hr one that's for sure and your wage is every time your child says please and thankyou Keep up the good work i say!!!!

A house technician? Is that what we call it now in our PC-mad world? My mother raised 11 children as a HOUSEWIFE!! She didn't work outside the home. The job of rearing children, in my opinion, is the most important job in the world. And she did it well as I'm sure you did.

People make so many assumptions about you from what you chose as a career.
I was reading a forum recently where someone said he basically makes a conscious decision not to ask people that question, because of that reason.
I think it's a great idea, no more being put in a box!

some people think house technician is not professional merely a life skill. But I wouldn't take any notice of them, same as me you have done your bit, now it's turn for others.

Mothering/parenting is the hardest job in the world 24x7 365 days a year..
My mum raised 5 of us 6 if u include the old man..Bloody hard job..even today at 70 she's still looking after us..

yeah like being at home with the kids is a cop out. even the higest paid executive couldn't possibly have the skill you need to be a mother and home maker. financier, manager, nurse, phycologist, housekeeper, teacher, negotiator and many many more........I hate it when i hear women answer this question with the words i'm just.......

it depends if you want a life outside the home, i am looking to get back to work now my kids have grown up a bit, if you dont want to work fair enough its your choice but personally i feel as though i want to better myself, anyway take no notice what people say, its just their opinion.

what on earth is a house technician. if its the same as a housewife, then its not a real job as you dont get paid.
