Start---->Shut Down---->Restart
or
hit Ctrl+Alt+Del a few times
or
hold down the power button on your computer for a few seconds until it powers off, then wait 15 seconds or so and turn it back on. Try doing these in that order too, as the first is the best way to properly restart, and the last would cause an improper shutdown and possible data loss.

or start-turn off comp->restart
