Going into today's action, Bonds has 2,817 hits. If he plays another year and stays healthy, he has a legitimate chance to get to 3,000 hits.

i think of he will gain 3000 hits, no longer 800 HRs, yet no longer as a SF great...I say he leaves the Giants after this twelve months (probable via settlement buyout so the Giants can circulate on), is going to the AL (maximum probable Oakland, in view that he might choose to stay interior the Bay area), and gets his 3000 hits and walks far off from the interest

He is not going to make it to 3,000 hits without steroids. Major league Baseball just needs to strip him of all his records and throw him out of baseball for life.

I wouldn't be surprised he's probably going to sign cheap 1 year deals for two years which should be enough to get the hits he needs.

Who cares? That hopped-up, cheating bastard has destroyed the integrity of the game, along with all the other juicers. Baseball lost me for years after the stupid strike, but that S.O.B. has made me officially give up baseball forever. I hope he dies in a really ugly way one home run short of Aaron.

I would say that is not looking good at this point unless he is looking to play two more years.

If he does, there will need to be one of those hated asterisks in the record books...denoting all the steroids that have entered his body
