Those are called thinky movies. Have you seen Memento? Or perhaps 12 Monkeys, Frequency? Swing Kids is different though a bit older. His Girl Friday, (1939) if you can handle FAST comedy.

I always like vanilla sky but how about Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas or Saving Silverman, both great films, not that they are anything like your pics.

I suggest Fight Club. It makes you think, has a twist. It's not as ephemeral as Donnie Darko, but still awesome.
(and even for those who don't like Brad Pitt, he's freakin' CUT in it. Nice.)

watch some weird cult classics... Jacobs Ladder, Eraserhead, Lost highway, Naked lunch, Brazil, Tesuo Iron man, clockwork orange, Tommy, etc
All very odd movies that get you thinking.
oh and for a odd horror film, I recently rented "May" which my BF liked. ^_^
