I can log into xbox live, i can set up the game and everything. But when I get to the matchmaking part, it just stays there. It doesnt freeze, it just never finds any other users to play with. I got the updates and everything, and I can play the campaign just fine. Whats up? I even called customer support and they told me to call bungie.net, but they're customer service is the same as the xbox number.

I find the easiest way is to leave matchmaking and then go back. Keep doing this until it works. Other than that try resetting your connection, unplugging and replugging in wires. Then you can reset your cable modem too, by unplugging it and plugging it back in, thats if you have cable internet.

Halo is a FPS game, Qauke is a FPS. So what if they are similar? If you refuse to accknowlege a revolutionary game that took FPS on consoles to a whole new level, then you are no gamer.
The best game that was a FPS on a console, that was out before the xbox came out was Golden Eye for N64 in my opinion.

Hmmm......That's funny. Let me ask you a couple of questions. Answer them to yourself and make sure they are correct by checking the equipment. I know that you may have stated the answers in your details section but please just verify.

Are you sure you have the right equipment? For example, can you log into xbox live and do you have a subscription.

Is your Halo 2 disc scratched or is it damaged? Is it original and not fake? Is the disc Xbox 360 compatible.

After answering all these quesitons, I'm going to give you a reference. Check out these links: http://www.xbox.com/en-US/support/connecttolive/pickconsole.htm?WT.svl=nav

no u dont choose stay. updates are in simple terms necessary for on-line ranked matches. yet when u have an unique xbox sport then u favor to make sensible that the disc is backwards nicely ideal with xbox 360 (that signifies that u can play the unique xbox video games on 360) if its not, then theres not something you ought to do to make the disc nicely ideal with 360.
