within the next year? That would mean that we could re-elect old GW again.

I'm fine with the term limit, I would however like to get it expanded to the house and senate. And while we are going for granting wishes, lets get that line item veto enacted. Stop Pork!

Oh, heaven forbid. But, believe it or not, and it has come back to bite me on the butt more than once, I absolutely do not believe in term limits. This time it works in my favor, and the current administration can do no more damage after this term. But, if the people vote an incumbent in ten times, they have spoken, and their wishes should be honored. I didn't vote for Bush, was astounded when he was elected to a second term. But if he wanted to run again if there were no term limits, I think he should be allowed to. I would just work like hell to make sure he didn't win. I think there is too much involved in getting the law changed for it to happen so quickly, thank goodness.

Do away with the 8 year limit, and make it only 4 years! You don't need to be stuck with anyone like GW again anytime soon.

no way. I think that we should do away with allowing consecutive turns. Eight years is a long time to do damage, as Bush has shown. Had he not been allowed to even run again, I would have been ecstatic and more patriotic. I've only been able to vote twice and each time Bush was the outcome, almost makes me wanna say "fuhgedaboudit" when the next election rolls around.

..actually it wouldnt surprize me a bit for another big terror attack to take place and him declaring emergency powers and staying in office ... but in the unlikely event of that it doesnt really matter ... theres people in both parties that support just about identical agendas to the administrations today .. its all political hoopla for the elections ... we'll be faced with the same issues regardless of who is in office ... anyone like kennedy that stepped up to the plate for the peoples best interest would be unceremoniously assasinated.

no. politics is all about who you know. knowing that someone who is a horrible leader could very easily squirrel his way into power and stay there for however long he wished. even if we were to impeach or whatever, I'm pretty sure they'd find a way around it.
