I had the internet way before 1996/97, but not as early as 1917. Never been with AOL though. Can't say that I've ever rated their service, what with their download limits.

Don't know. I was only 9 years old in 97, and I my parents just got this Internet this year (thank God)...lol.

Oh, and I know for a fact that there were not computers or the Internet in 1917.

Intriguing...I've had the internet since forever...Back when AOL was something new, and you had to actually dial up someone else's modem number to connect to the bulletin boards!!

I don't recall ever paying by the minute, but it was so long ago, who can remember!?!?

He's showing off:-(

He thinks he's the only one who was online in the good old days... when the net was new and you had to do a dial up connection... he's not... I was there as well and I know all the tricks he thinks that he invented... and likely played as well!

Though where he gets his title date is new to even me... it must make him a seriously old oldie though... crumbling to dust inside the wires, I'll bet.

Nettie

I never. We only just got a bt line put in, then knocked them when a £300 phone bill landed on the welcome mat - so that wasn't very welcome at all!
