gross. petroleum isn't good for you, let alone if you got it in your eye.
almost every skin care line I can think of makes an eyemake up remover, some even come in little pads.
way better and less messy.

Vaseline as well as any other oil based product, will also leave your skin feeling oily..which is not pleasant.
The best method i have discovered (besides an oil free makeup remover) is either Johnson and Johnson baby shampoo (which is also tear free) or an oil-free lotion. Both work wonders in removing eye makeup, and won't leave your eyes feeling greasy.

Everyone seems to say no, but it works for me. However, I only use it when I run out of make up remover and haven't had the time to buy any. It's like an alternative to make up remover. If it was used for baby skin, it wouldn't hurt your skin.
I have been doing that for over 4 years and nothing has happen to me yet. So my answer is YES.

I don't know why this is so either! I swear by vaseline. My mother is 48 and has not one wrinkle on her face. To some it may clog pores, but also I've told that the gentler the products the better (i.e. baby products). In the summer I like baby oil, in the winter I switch to vaseline.

That's what they say. I've used it before but it doesn't work that great. Try Olay Daily Facials cleansing cloths. They're great at taking off eye makeup. They don't even burn your eyes! At all! You can get them in drugstores or at Target. They're about $6 for a box of 30. Well worth it.

I used petroleum jelly to remove my eye make up for many years and I haven t noticed any side effects. It says its the ultimate moisturizer and its recommended for babies. After using it, I wash it soap and water followed by applying moisturizer with vit E.

Gosh NO. Don't use that junk. You'll hurt your eyes in the long run. Some gals use baby oil but even that's not made for your eyeballs. Purchase for $4 or $5 the make up remover, whether it's for waterproof or regular. It's made for your eyes.
