the smallest divisions on the scale of a foot ruler represents what fractional part of an inch?

Well, I have a drafting scale (what you kids call a ruler), that is marked in 1/64 inch. So I guess it just depends on what you got.

Depends on the ruler. Could be 1/16 or 1/8, or more.

On my ruler the first inch is measured in 1/32nds. The remaining inches are marked in 1/16ths
