Why? Because society has always dictated that women should be displayed, glorified, and flaunted. That's ONE of the reasons why you see more female models than male models and why there are plenty of designers who make clothes for women. There is very little interest in designing menswear as it is, so "pushing the envelope" in making menswear more sensual is highly unlikely. You see it a lot on high fashion pages and runways but on the streets, it's very occasional.
Why are there so many Victoria's Secret ads on TV? Why do Gisele's and Adriana's chests get displayed so much on Victoria's Secret's display window? How come there isn't a Calvin Klein catalogue? Where are the crotch shots whenever commercials come on?
A few examples of my first statement can be seen in many aspects of the world's cultures. Take for example ballroom dancing. The woman is clearly the one who is "exhibited" so to speak by the man who is throwing her around and spinning and lifting her, etc.
Another example is a girl's coming-of-age. In the US, it's usually females who have a sweet sixteen party. In Latin America, girls have quinceañeras at fifteen. In the Philippines, girls have debutante balls when they turn eighteen. Wonder why they get the spotlight? Men don't usually celebrate their coming-of-age, at least not in a extravagant way.
Also, try flipping through an art history book, and see which gender has the most nude portrayals in sculptures and paintings? Yeah.
Honestly, I would prefer sensuality to be more played down on either gender, especially when it comes to clothes. I think that sensuality comes from within and clothes don't necessarily have to show that.

Men's sensuality is expressed through how they carry themselves. The way they walk, their posture, Doesn't matter what they wear, they make the outfit. Sure maybe the brand will help with your ego, but how you feel inside is still what counts.
There's more choices for women because fashion just evloved that way. Women boldly took the step in wearing trousers before. Otherwise we would still be confined to skirts. Men, on the otherhand never crossed over.
Simplicity and ease of comfort is the essential in the men's wardrobe. This would pronouce the quiet elegance and sensual vibe because it allows the observer to notice the man, not the outfit.
Society today just tries to make everyone more materialistic.

After spending a summer in Germany during the world cup and seeing people from every nation, I think that it is mainly in America that clothing designs don't accentuate a man's sensuality. Especially in Italy, many men (especially the younger ones) are wearing clothing just as sensual as women. America's homophobia, whether justified or not, is what keeps America behind in the world of high fashion. How many well-known high fashion designers are from America? As opposed to how many from European nations, mainly France and Itlay?

in case you look as though Brad Pitt or David Beckham that's positive, even nonetheless that's an eyesore in case you look extra like Michael Moore. i'm specific you compromise that it is the comparable with women individuals? would not you extremely examine out Angelina Jolie or Jessica Alba's cleavage over Rosie O'Donnell's? that's all approximately aesthetics. i do no longer think that each and each individual has the perfect physique to placed on a speedo or bikini, yet however all human beings is loose to placed on what they want.

I believe this is because most men are not gay, and most women are not attracted to men who are gay, or who dress gay. I'm sorry if this may offend you, but I really do think this. Perhaps the Latin culture is an exeption, since there are many sensualities to male Latin dress. And maybe sensuality is in the eye of the beholder?

This is because of the over-all view of society and how it wants to market the consumers product. Yes it would be much easier to make a product that is unisexual in nature because they wouldnt have so many different brands and types to make. But society is strange like that, they want to push off what they think we want .... because that is what we are expected to wear. Well **** what they think, and what they expect of us.

Men wouldn't want to wear tight jeans and tight shirts, now would they? I would think they would choose a t-shirt and some loose jeans over a tight polo shirt and some tight jeans. It's a comfort issue, really.
