how do you know if ur tatoo has infection?

It could be red around the egdes. My tattoo on my leg got infected just use some neosporin on it. A lot of people might tell you not too but I did with everyone of my tat's and there is no fading and nothing at all wrong with them. If it is infected it might take a few days to a week to heal. do u have a fever? Is it swollen or red or draining pus or blood? does it hurt to touch it? Does it feel hot? those are the signs of infection

Very red, swollen, drainage.
