Go to your library and ask for a copy of Maudsley and Burns Land Law Cases and Materials (Butterworths) The question you have asked has a wide ranging answer and does not state the particular issue you have in mind It would take me too long to trawl through it all. If you have access to westlaw or lexis look it up on there. It will be quicker.

It depends. What jurisdiction do you need it for? Is it a state or a federal issue? Is it a state issue being tried in federal court (e.g. a diversity issue)? I suggest you look up the acts in Corpus Juris Secundum or in American Jurisprudence. A hornbook or treatise may also help you. You can also look in a Digest and use your key terms to find cases (by key number).
