I was not alive in the 60's so I don't know the answer first hand. I have been around a group of older blacks (over 60) who all appeared to be fed up with the generations below them. They seemed to be intolerant of excuses given by blacks on why they are not succeeding. They also were very big on sharing black history with others.

If I were such a person I would apologize as this action opened Pandora's box of crime. Some 100 Americans are killed every-night and America has had to live in lock up every since, seems we just can't put enough Locks on doors since [open housing] became law.

Except that blacks are being used and exploited by the Democrat Party. But, that's their own fault. They are now finally starting to wise up to the Democrats.
