I often wonder why some of us sew our wild oats and then move on to a better and brighter future, and yet others seem to get swallowed up in a lifestyle of crime and hopelessness. What makes us so different? Is it the way we are raised? Or do people really enjoy a lifestyle of drugs, sex and crime? What do you think?

i think everyone desire a better life. we just know how to overcome the routine of doing the same thing over and over again and toss fear of the unknown to the wind. some people are afraid of change. so congrats on being strong and pray and help the weak!

I think people get lost, some of us find our way back while others never return. I think it depends how strong a person is mentally. Some may depend on the way they were raised but I think that is an excuse for the weak.

When they hit rock bottom and realize there is no one there anymore who is willing to be co-dependent and prop them up and they HAVE to face the REALITY of how hard life is -- then (maybe) an individual will change their life and turn around and have a brighter future.

Okay I had this problem too. You just got to find yourself and know that what happened in the past stays in the past.
