Ahh, a lot of guys also think that women can't drive and that men can't cook (except at the barbeque grill, where the ability magically appears). Some guys just find it comforting to think that their Y chromosome gives them at least a little superiority, in something. Women have little areas in which they're secretly sure that they, as a sex, are far superior to men as well. It's a game everyone plays to some degree but no adult should admit to playing.

Their reaction is normal. We are programmed to react this way, and it takes independant objective thought to beat the insecurity that is born from fear. We are simple animals. It was not that long ago that we were killing mastadons and living in caves. Not all of us suffer these ills though. Both sexes have their drawbacks that come from being hunters and gatherers. Give us another 400-500 yrs and w/ any luck we will be accepting of the fact that for the most part women can hang w/ men in most sports. There will always be differences between the sexes, because we are not equal in every sense. And people who preach that are sadly misled. Instead of focusing on the differences, we should be celebrating the things we have in common. Not to mention that the differences are there for a reason. I mean I played semi-pro hockey for 5 yrs. There is no way a female could do that. She could develop all of the skill necessary to handle the puck, skate and score, but even the biggest strongest women cannot take the physical punishment that is dished out at that level of play. That is not a fault it is simply fact. Just as men lack the emotional understanding and intellectual finesse of most women. It's not in our DNA. I would trade places w/ a woman in a second. Because just like you, the emotionaly stunted and intellectualy challenged men of this country have me ready to get a sex change! LOL

It's because MOST females were not genetically made to play "certain" sports. (But women can do everything a man can do, so if you want to do everything a man can do, then you better be ready, if you slap a man, then the man should be able to slap you right back.) Equal Rights or Women's Lib right? It's the same.
It really isn't a big deal, but not ALL guys think girls suck at sports. But hey I suck at baseball so "guys" & "girls"might think that I suck at sports too. It's a generalization, no big deal, it's not personal.
But I can be considered sexist too. Some women reak of the most foul stench you can imagine. I think they shouldn't. But men shouldn't reak like that either. So who am I sexist to?

I think it depends on what sport you are playing and comparing. I play hockey and girls can play, but can girls play a full season with full contact? I don't know. I've heard that physiologically it would be too detrimental to their bodies. In that respect, it's not about sucking, it's about not physically being able to do it. Who that sucks for, maybe it just sucks for girls. Anyway, other than the extremely physical sports, why can't girls play? Especially baseball. Come on, anyone can improve their hand eye, so to think girls would suck is ridiculous.

Alright. How many girls do you see in the MLB? NFL? NHL? NBA? None. Mainly because the girls would not be able to do anything. They are shorter, slimmer and weaker. The main reason for the WMBA is so that girls can actually have a chance playing a sport on a big professional level. I mean, can you really picture a 5"5' girl trying to defend againt Yao Ming? It's just impractical. Can you see a 140 pound woman playing football? No, her bones would be broken. And MLB, could you see a women hitting a 100 mph pitch? She would be able to do it, but then the shockwave would probably injure her arm. And a woman playing hockey? That one is obvious.

I dont I know some damn good girls who race BMX and could kick quite a few guys butts. Its just usually if a girl is good at any other sport beside track, swimming, gymnastics,or tennis they tend to be quite butchy. So if you all were girly girls then I could see why they stereotyped you like that. As for them acting like that the coach should also be blamed for allowing them to do that. That sort of behavior should never be tolerated by anyone from any sport.

The female upper body is not as developed as a male's. So sometimes it might be a bit shocking to someone who hasn't played much around women.

Any guys that would act that way are sexists and totally immature. Obviously, sports are not restricted to just men and many women who play are just as good, if not better at certain games then men are. Pay no attention to the "idiots' who act that way!
Now...........let's PLAY BALL!!!!!

For a long time women weren't allowed to play sports like in the old days and guys, being dumb, assumed that girls were not good at sports.
