no i don't think he is a good president, it seems he is just thinking of himself and his rich friends. he doesn't seem to care about the rest of the people in his country or any other country

I think he is a good man and generally a good president...I wish he didn't spend like a Democrat though and I do disagree with him on some issues...but there is no one out there whom I agree with on every issue....but yes generally I think he is a man of conviction...
and a good president...
he is not good at selling himself or his ideas and that has hurt him...and generally the mainstream press , who tend to be liberal, really don't like him..
I am Canadian and have been living in the US for >5 years.....I go back to Canada twice a year and am surprised by the skewed coverage of the US by the Canadian press..before I moved here I would have sworn that Peter Mansbridge , CBC etc.. were completely fair and balanced...I can now tell you as an outsider looking in..they are not always..I was in Ottawa for Canada Day
and was appalled by an article I read in the Ottawa Citizen that veiled itself as an news article but was really biased vitriolic spew aimed at the US and Bush in particular...don't get me wrong..I have not turned on Canada but living here I have realized how amazing the far majority of Americans are and what a great and noble country this is ....though I do wish they had Tim Horton's and Canadian Tire....as A fellow Canadian I am glad you took the time to ask this question and in the language you did....

Well the answer is Yes and no. Bush is a good President to only the eleet and rich Americans as Well as Other countries with Oil. Since how he owns quite a bit of oil to begin with. As for the Poor people, Well, were just getting poorer. The cost of Healthcare is Phenominal. It is really sad that Families have to choose between eating, or buying Necessary Perscription drugs. And all the welfare people, just sit on their Butts, trying to find new ways to get money from the tax payers. So, do I think My president is a good president??? Yes, and no... Mostly no By the way, He aparently has a third daughter that nobody has really heard about??? She is Anti her Father.... Aparently His "twin daughters, were acutally Tripplets. She sings.

George W. Bush has seriously undermined the US government. He had his own agenda in going into Iraq and lied to get there. Whenever anyone questions his actions, he brings up the War on Terror. At the same time, he has sidestepped the safeguards in the U. S. Constitution designed to prevent the US from becoming a dictatorship. If he doesn't leave office in 2008, we are in serious trouble. No, he is NOT a good president.

Like most presidents, he has strengths and weaknesses.
He cut taxes across all tax rates, which helped the economy...especially after 9/11. (Which is EXACTLY what JFK did, as well...only you didn't hear the Democrats whining about "tax cuts for the rich" when their guy did it.)
He has screwed up some in the war on terror by not just storming into Afghanistan (and Pakistan, too, if necessary) and getting Osama Bin Laden...and by letting Rumsfeld basically run the war in Iraq. He also is a failure when it comes to securing the borders.
His most successful accomplishment is nominating two justices to the Supreme Court who believe that the proper role of the judiciary is to interpret the law based on what the law actually SAYS...not on what some would LIKE for it to say.
And he didn't perjure himself in front of a grand jury, like his predecessor...
He's neither the worst president we've ever had, nor the best. Take all the presidents we've ever had, and divide them into three categories....good, average, poor....and he's in the lower part of the "average" group.

Yes I believe he was the best choice out of the choices we had...he has made some really great decisions...some people can't see beyond what is right in front of them...but yes he along with our military leaders our house and senate....were doing great...there is an election that candidates are preparing for so therefore a lot of people are going to talk and bring out negatives...and unfortunately people listen and believe things without researching everything.

Yeah, cutting taxes for the rich people, spending budget surpluses in a bloody war, keeping the US in a state of fear to manipulate citizens, using an archaic Christian rhetoric to support his crazy ideas... I'm not American, so yes indeed I should shut up and my president is not much better. But for God's sake, Bush is really too much and the absurdity of his policies are so blatant that I just can't believe people vote for him

To be fair, historians have to give it alot of time to determine whether or not a President's actions/inactions were good/bad. It could be 20, 30, 40 years before a fair assessmant can be made. In America, you'll probably get a 50/50 split on what people think of him if they had to give you an answer now.

Mr. Bush would be a whole lot better at being the President of the United States if he would/could hear the people of the United States.
President Bush hears his advisors and hopes they are right...Mr. Bush should listen more and speak less.

I'm Canadian as well, many Americans don't agree with anything he does, but i think some of the stuff he has done ie. take Saddam out of power was essential...he may be an idiot at times, but i would say he has done a mediocre job...don't know much about other aspects of his policies ie health care, social security etc etc...leave this one to the Americans
