I think the Steelers were favored as a legacy team. The NFL wasn't going to let the Seahawks win because not much would have been said if they did. How many times do you see the Seahawks on tv as a feature game not alot but the Steelers are on all the time as a feature game on CBS. Seahawks got screwed in the superbowl it all started with the interfernce call that wasn't.

In actuality there were really only 2 questionable calls in the Superbowl. Hypothetically speaking even if the NFL influenced it and told the refs to favor the Hawks, the Steelers still would have won. !st ranked offense Seattle got 10 points, the NFL nor the refs could make the best offensive team play as badly as the Seahawks did.
GO STEELERS!!!!! Happy Football Season :o)
(I called the Eagles to see if you could get your towel boy job back but they said no way he is a browns fan)

What would the "profit motive" have been? What difference would it have made the NFL had one team or another won the game?
The answer is, it didn't matter. The NFL is a multi-BILLION dollar organization. On top of that, think of the reputation that it has as a fair and balanced league. What would the NFL stand to gain if they started "fixing" their own games? Nothing!
About the calls during the Super Bowl. There were undoubtly some bad calls. And yes, most of them sent against Seattle. It's just the nature of the beast. Sometimes the calls call your way, sometimes they don't.
Blame the refs, not the NFL It was the refs that were the guys that made the calls.

When was there a Superbowl that a wild card team was the Home team? Not only that The Seahawk was given 2500 tickets for the game. Never heard a Superbowl game where one team get 90% of the tickets. But this is all in the past. The real test will show this year between the two team and that is which one will get there first

Steelers were just the best and still are--You'll see. To the person who said about the amount of tickets the Seahawks got, yes they only got several thousand BUT they couldn't even sell them and sent them back to the NFL so us Steeler fans could go and see a another win!!!!!

You've posted multiple "questions" that are just rants about the supremacy of the Steelers over whatever suksquad you support - get a life. I'm not even a Steeler's fan and I'm still sick of you.

They were just the superior team. All calls were correct as per the head of officiating. Watch some NFL Network stupid.

... conspiracy theory?
did you catch the colts/steelers game? the interception call in that was 10 times worse than any call in the super bowl... maybe the NFL felt sorry for it and decided to give a little back?
