well, seems like you are experiencing an intermittent connection for your wireless...i gues,it just have something to do with possible electro magnetic interference like those electrical devices that you have near the modem...dont place the modem on a carpeted floor nor on top of the tower and try to refresh your network list once in a while and maybe some of your neighbor are using your network..be sure that your security code is secured

try to visit to this site please....

I'm afraid that you've joined the numerous other recent E1505 purchasers who are experiencing the same issues. I began by dealing with the Dell support group (from India) who indicated that the "hardware is working fine" though it would work for only 30-60 seconds before shutting down.

Most of the other folks who are having this problem also have the Intel PRO/Wireless 3945ABG Network Connection. If you'll go to network connections and check the properties, I suspect you'll see that there is a driver version of December/05. You'll need to go to the Dell website (see link below), download the driver (R127811) which is 37MB in size, and install the latest driver.

I hope this works for you as well as it did for me.

First, make sure you're wireless is secured. Someone stealing your bandwidth can boot you off.
Second, make sure the wireless router/access point/modem is not located close to any electrical appliances (speakers, amps, anything that can create "noise"). Even a few feet can make a huge difference.
Third, sometimes these d*** things glitch. Try resetting your wireless to its defaults, then set it up again.
Fourth, try it unsecured if 1-3 fail. Sometimes the encryption can cause this issue (rare).
Fifth, change your security. It only takes a hacker about 30 seconds to hack WEP.

Most likely you are experiencing interference. Frequently the air waves in apartment complexes very crowded because there are so many wireless devices. You may be using the same channel as one of your neighbors. To see your wireless environment download and install Netstumbler (use Google to find it). If you are using 802.11b or 802.11g then your only choices as far as channels are 1, 6 and 11. Netstumbler will tell you if any of these are available. If one is availble then reconfigure your router to use it. If none are available, then your only choice is to switch to 802.11a.
