Democracy was a tertiary objective, but we can’t take the Bush administration seriously about this one. Assuming this was important and is supposed to mean a friendly government with a parliament, periodic elections, parties, campaigns, and all the standard democratic socialist bells and whistles, this hasn’t happened. The country is having a civil war.

Despite Iraq, our rulers and their supporters are taking the country toward more war. The Bush administration is certain that it’s doing the right thing. It isn’t changing direction. It will keep beating our heads against the wall until we collapse. Iraq hasn’t been a wakeup call.

MMMM ,Democracy , some while back the british empire subdued and larcened half the planet on the pretext of spreading christianity, some of the people involved were good christians some of the people were opportunists highly skilled at spotting a good ploy and exploiting it ,probably the majority were just doing their job , I am sure there were people involved for all other kinds of reasons as well, what is worth considering are the questions 1 where is the british empire now 2 how many civil wars carrying on still are a legacy of british imperial rule --only the names have changed!

The country was having a civil war before we ever came along, now the sides are just a little more even!
Anyhow, what do we do now? just pull out and let them kill each other? That's real fair! I don't think anyone thought that this war would last even a quarter as long as it has thus far, let alone how long it has potential for. Take a serious look at who voted YES that we go to war, it wasn't just R's there were PLENTY of D's in the yea column. But oh, that's right Bush is so powerful that he not only "set up" 9/11, but he also fabricated enough info about WMD's to convince these (obviously too lazy to do any of there own research) people that war was our only option!
Bush was wrong! Wrong about how long and how easy this war would be. And your right, he hasn't even admitted that! Shame, Shame!

We are there because Iraq has a largely untapped oil field. The worlds supply of oil is running low. America is in a race to get that oil or become obsolete as a country. We had to invade Iraq, because they were going to get their sanctions lifted and would have sold their oil to Russia, China and France. This would have devastated our economy and driven down the value of the dollar.

They are there to secure oil supplies for America, Iran within 5 years.

Don't believe the democrats wouldn't have done the same thing - they would - your economy (which ALL americans benefit from) is based on high oil consumption.

If you disagree with invading Iraq - then ask yourself if you would give up your oil dependant lifestyle to get the troops out.

Any other country with US resources would also do the same thing.

Sorry - I hate war - but in my opinion the reason for it is to maintain the lifestyles of the western world.

Its a manufactured war to bring money to his globalist and arms supporters. If 9/11 was a full on terrorist attack which doesnt seem like it was then he wouldve just went back to being lameduck like he was for the first almost 2 years of his presidency. He destroyed the group that he says did attacks so he needed some other kind of war.

We are there for three reasons ( not necessarily in this order ) to protect Israel with the 130,000 troops ready to relocate on a moment's notice. It is the best place for the USA to stage troops before attacking Iran. And the oil. Hussein did use WMD on Kurds in @1988 and Rumsfeld was told this by Hussein while it was going on. So even though no WMD have been found, they were there at one time and may be in Syria.

Though that doesn't really mean that we'll be getting more oil. Just that all of Bush's friends and greatest support will be making a lot more money. As the gallons of oils becomes restricted, so does the price. Therefore, all of Bush's oiler friends will become much more richer.

They even say that Cheney's company made the most amount of money out of all companies because of the war in Iraq.

I hate to tell you but we are already in a war - they aren't taking us there. Nice to hear from you again - but what you say certainly sounds like you have been dead for 41 years.
