A coworker has "PCGS MS69, 1998 $50 AGE" (Hope I got that right, Mikey.) He wants the "population" of this and other Ground Zero coins graded by "PCGS" and their value.

He mentioned a population report, but said that costs a lot of money.

Grandfather gave him coin and said never sell, it was valuable and would increase in value. He does not want to sell.

Thanks for any help you can offer.

Does the PCGS holder actually say it was from ground zero?? If so, is it a real PCGS holder. There is so much fake grown zero stuff out there. The coin may be real, but may have come from anywhere. Best way, is go to a PCGS dealer and ask him if there are any population reports available yet, on the coin. He should give him the amounts not necessarily the report., if not, he is not much of a dealer, so go to another one. By the way A.G.E. stands for American gold eagle. This is an area that requires a person to know his coins and trust the seller, there has been lots of write ups in coin papers about cons on ground zero items.
