its important that i find a job asap

The minimum hiring age for most companies in the St. Louis area is 16. Check around with your neighbors and see if anyone needs a babysitter, a dogwalker or even help with some odd jobs and yardwork. These types of jobs are better than nothing and usually pay cash . . . no waiting on paychecks is a good thing.

It's the end of the season, at least where I am, but next summer, get yourself a lifeguard license and you'll have your pick of jobs.
