your lyre should attach onto your leadpipe (the one you put your mouthpiece into) just before your tuning slide. Take the slide out, and then unscrew the circular clamp on the lyre so that you can slip it onto the leadpipe. BEFORE you do this, put some masking tape around the pipe so that the metal lyre will not scratch it all up. Then slip the clamp on, tighten the screws, and attach the music! If you have a crappy lyre with the rubber-bound single- screw clamps, then it would be a good idea to tape it on, because they have a tendency to fall off during parade! Have fun!

What do you play...your "lyre" can go attached to different parts, but hey..you still have two days, who says you can't memorize the music. thats what makes you a MB stud!!!
